Maddie brings 10 years of experience in veterinary medicine to Fort Harrison Veterinarians. Her career began with a deep love of animals — working first in a pet store, then an animal shelter — before she pursued her passion formally, earning an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from Harrison College in 2013. She went on to work as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for a decade, spanning both general practice and laboratory research, where she also earned her Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification.
As her career evolved, Maddie stepped into management, spending three years leading a team before joining this clinic. Today, as Practice Manager, she combines her hands-on technical expertise, with a particular love for dental cleanings, with a genuine passion for mentoring and developing the people around her.
A longtime resident of the NE Indianapolis area, Maddie spent 11 years in Lawrence before making the move to the country in 2020. Outside of work, you’ll find her curled up with a fantasy novel or crafting and crocheting. At home, she shares her life with two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Willow and Brewster — Brew even makes the commute to the clinic most days — along with her Ragdoll and Siamese cats.
